About the Role
As a Master <45m, you will be responsible for the safe navigation and operation of our vessels while ensuring a high standard of customer service for both passengers and crew.
You will lead by example, maintaining a strong safety culture while delivering reliable and professional ferry services across Brisbane's river network.
Key Responsibilities
Safely navigate and operate vessels across the RiverCity Ferries network
Conduct safe berthing, mooring and unmooring operations
Lead and manage crew members in a professional manner
Ensure the safety and welfare of passengers and crew
Deliver exceptional customer service
Comply with all maritime legislation, company procedures and safety requirements




Respond effectively to operational and emergency situations
Maintain vessel operational readiness and complete required reporting
Promote a culture of safety, professionalism and teamwork
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential Requirements
Current Master <45m Certificate of Competency
Current MED 3 (minimum)
Current First Aid Certificate
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays and varying shift times
Strong commitment to safety, customer service and professionalism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow and implement procedures and instructions
Highly Regarded
Previous passenger ferry experience
Local knowledge of Brisbane River operations
Leadership experience within a maritime environment
