AboutUs:
The Joint Parliamentary Service Committee(JPSC) is a Standing Committee of the Parliament.
It consists ofthe President of the Legislative Council, the Speaker of the Houseof Assembly and two Members from each House.
The JPSC isresponsible for the administration of the Joint ParliamentaryServices (JPS).
Parliamentary Reporting Division(Hansard)
is one of the Joint Services of theParliament of South Australia.
Our staff includes reporters,editors and publishers.
We provide a customer-focused service toMembers of Parliament, their staff and the general public.
Reporters prepare and edit, as required, transcripts of theParliament's proceedings and other related events using technologysuch as digital audio recording and voice-to-text transcriptiontools.
Hansard Reporters demonstrate a high level of keyboard/wordprocessing competency, an ability to transcribe and edit to aspecified standard in an efficient manner using relevanttechnology, and a demonstrated capacity to work as a member of adiverse team.
Applications must address the Essential Requirements in thePerson Specification.
An appointment is subject to the conditionsapplying under the Parliament (Joint Services) Act ****.
The rolewill require some out-of-hours work and occasional intra andinterstate travel.
Employees are required to comply with all health, safety, andrisk management policies and procedures of the Parliament and takeall reasonable care that their actions or omissions do not impactthe health and safety of others in the Parliament precinct.
Employees must observe the Parliament of South Australia Code ofConduct and comply with the Conduct Standards in the Code.

Qualifications-
Desirable: Tertiary qualifications, especially ina language-rich discipline, are highly regarded, as is any priorexperience in editing, parliamentary reporting for otherparliaments, other roles related to a parliament, or courtreporting.
