Senior Supervisor – Precast & Manufacturing

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing and precast operation in the area of Moreton Bay, Queensland.
n
We are looking for a hands-on and experienced production leader who can take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead a frontline team and help establish a safe, productive and high-performing workplace. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in the establishment and growth of a new operation, working closely with the Site/General Manager and having a genuine influence on how the production team operates.

The Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Site/General Manager, you will lead production across pipe and precast operations and work closely with the Production, Yard, Maintenance and Quality teams.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Lead and coordinate daily production activities and allocate resources effectively.
n
Manage production schedules, targets, labour, materials and equipment.
n
Supervise, support and develop production team members.
n
Monitor productivity, downtime, waste, rework and production costs.
n
Ensure products are manufactured to drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
n
Identify and implement improvements to safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
n
Work closely with Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve operational issues.
n
Ensure employees, contractors and visitors follow appropriate WHS procedures and use required PPE.
n
Maintain accurate production, timesheet and other operational records.

Support a positive workplace culture based on accountability, teamwork and respect.

About you
n
n
Proven supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing, precast, concrete, construction or a similar production environment.
n
Experience leading frontline production teams.
n
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
n
Robust organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication and people-management skills.
n
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
n
A commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
n
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and other departments.
n
Current Gantry Crane Licence/Ticket.
n
Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
Additional relevant industry licences, tickets or qualifications will be highly regarded.
n
