Job Description
Principal / Senior Environmental Scientist (Brisbane)

We are currently looking for an experienced Principal / Senior Environmental Scientist to join our highly regarded QLD Environment & Planning team, to work on several state significant development applications and to provide environmental management support for major resource and renewable energy projects across Australia.

About You:
n
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management, environmental law, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
n
Experience: 5 to 10 years' experience (Senior) and 10+ years' experience (Principal) in environmental approvals, environmental management and/or consulting, preferably in the resources and/or renewable energy sector.
Experience in QLD State Significant Development and Commonwealth approvals and environmental legislative requirements is highly desirable.
n
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of a broad range of environmental technical areas.
n
Skills: Excellent communication, report writing, and teamwork skills.
n
Legislation Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of the latest environmental legislation and industry best practices.
n
Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously, manage multidisciplinary projects, and mentor junior professionals.
n
Passion: Highly motivated individual with a proactive "can do" attitude, able to engage with clients, regulators, technical consultants, and peers.
