Ready to lead a Property Management department where people come first?
n
REMAX Ignite-Profile is looking for an experienced Property Management professional to step into a key leadership role within our Middle Park office.
n
This is an prospect for someone who knows Property Management inside and out and is ready to take greater ownership of a department, its people and its performance.
n
As our Head of Property Management, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the department, support and mentor our Property Management team, ensure our systems, trust accounting and compliance are maintained to a high standard, and work closely with our Company Directors on the continued development of the business.
n
You'll also manage a small residential portfolio, allowing you to remain connected with our clients and the practical side of Property Management without carrying the workload of a traditional full portfolio.
n
We're looking for a leader who is approachable, organised and solutions-focused – someone who can bring out the best in their team while maintaining high standards across the department.

Your Role
n
This is a hands-on leadership position with genuine responsibility and the support to do it well.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Leading and overseeing the Property Management department and its team
n
Supporting, mentoring and developing Property Managers and support staff
n
Managing a small portfolio of residential properties
n
Overseeing the daily operation and performance of the department
n
Managing and overseeing the trust account, including reconciliations and associated requirements
n
Ensuring the department operates in accordance with Queensland legislation, trust accounting requirements and company procedures
n
Monitoring compliance across tenancy documentation, processes, files and systems
n
Providing guidance on complex tenancy matters, disputes, arrears, breaches and escalated client concerns
n




Reviewing workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service
n
Ensuring Property Managers are supported in managing arrears, renewals, maintenance, inspections, vacates and bond matters
n
Maintaining high standards of communication and service across the department
n
Assisting with team workload management and ensuring priorities are addressed
n
Supporting the onboarding and training of new team members
n
Working closely with our Directors on department performance, growth and future planning
n
Helping create a positive, accountable and collaborative team environment
n
You won't be expected to do everything yourself. You'll have administration, leasing and Virtual Assistant support, allowing you to focus your time where your experience and leadership have the greatest impact.

About You
n
You may already be leading a Property Management team, or you may be an experienced Senior Property Manager ready to take the next step into department leadership.
n
Either way, you'll need to be confident taking ownership and making decisions while still being someone your team feels comfortable approaching for support.
n
Strong experience in Residential Property Management
n
Previous leadership, team management or Senior Property Manager experience
n
Strong knowledge of Queensland residential tenancy legislation
n
Sound knowledge and practical experience with real estate trust accounting
n
The ability to oversee trust account compliance, reconciliations and processes
n
A current Queensland Real Estate Licence or appropriate qualification to perform the role
n
Strong understanding of Property Management compliance and best practice
n
Excellent leadership and people-management skills
n
Confidence managing difficult conversations and escalated matters
n
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
n




A proactive, calm and solutions-focused approach
n
High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
Confidence working with owners, tenants, contractors and team members
n
A current driver's licence
n
Experience with PropertyMe, Inspection Express, Realworks, Vault, Ignite
