Job Description

The opportunity
n
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our dedicated clinical team in a specialist ophthalmology setting. Working closely with ophthalmologists, orthoptists and clinical staff, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic assessments and contribute to the seamless delivery of patient care across our consulting clinics.
n
This role is ideal for a detail‐oriented technician with a passion for healthcare and a commitment to excellence in clinical support.

In this role, you will:
n

Conduct diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and biometry.
n
Ensure all assessments are performed accurately and in accordance with doctor protocols.
n
Prepare patients for consultations and provide explicit, compassionate support throughout the testing process.
n
Maintain and calibrate equipment in accordance with clinical standards.
n
Assist with general administrative or clinic flow duties as required.
n
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

You will also bring:

Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or similar clinical role (preferred).
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Competence in the use of diagnostic equipment (training can be provided for the right candidate).
n
A patient‐first mindset and commitment to delivering high‐quality service.
n
Ability to work well within a team in a busy clinical environment.
