Grid Engineer | Sydney | Global Developer

My client is a global leader in onshore renewables development. Now part of a major energy group, they combine the agility of a specialist developer with the backing of a global player, and they are continuing to grow their ANZ pipeline.
n
They are looking for a Grid Engineer to join their Grid Connections team in Sydney, working closely with technical and development teams to progress connection applications across their solar and storage portfolio.
n
What you will be doing
n
n
Manage grid connection studies for solar projects using PSSE and PSCAD, feeding key inputs into the EPC process
n
Prepare connection study reports, performance standards and releasable user guides to meet NSP and AEMO requirements
n
Support projects through the EPC process, from connection application through detailed design to commissioning and R2 testing
n
Negotiate technical performance standards directly with NSPs and AEMO
n
Assist with site finding and grid capacity assessments where needed
n

What they are looking for
n




n
Experience in power systems roles, particularly power system modelling and power quality assessment
n
Proficiency in PSSE, PSCAD or PowerFactory
n
Working knowledge of the NER and Generator Performance Standards
n
Renewable energy experience, solar or wind, viewed favourably
n
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
n
Comfortable managing multiple projects at once and driven to see them through
n
