ABOUT THE ROLE
n
This is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, Monday to Thursday, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
n
As the Lead Warehouse & Logistics, you will be responsible for strategically optimising warehouse and logistics performance to ensure safe, reliable and commercially effective materials movement across site and broader operations.



You will lead a team of two employees in the day-to-day operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
n
n
Lead safe and efficient warehouse and logistics operations across GEMCO.
n
Ensure material availability, inventory accuracy and SAP compliance.
n
Manage barge, logistics and warehouse service providers to deliver against safety, service and commercial expectations.
n
Identify and mitigate supply chain and logistics risks to maintain operational continuity.
n
Lead and develop a high-performing team through visible safety leadership, coaching and accountability.
n
Improve logistics performance, cost efficiency and service reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Manage freight contractor governance, budgets, KPIs, SLAs and commercial outcomes.
n

ABOUT YOU
n
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
n
n
Strong warehouse, logistics or supply chain experience in operational environments.
n
Values-led leadership across large, diverse or multidisciplinary teams.
n
Proven safety, risk and contractor management capability.
n
Commercial mindset with robust stakeholder influence and problem-solving skills.
n
n
Qualifications for this position are:
n
n
Tertiary qualification or post-secondary studies in Business, or relevant industry experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or a related discipline.
n
Continuous improvement or lean methodology exposure desirable.
n
n
