Job Description Permanent part-time | 31.5 hours across three days |Sydney and Central Coast regions $80,000-$85,000 Full Time Equivalent + superannuation | Vehicle Allowance $17,000 FTE, pro rata | includes fuel and eTag costs What you will do As a Carpentry Apprentice Trainer and Assessor, you will deliver practical, industry-relevant training and assessment across workplace, pre-apprenticeship and school-based settings.
Visit apprentices at worksites and approved training locations.
Deliver engaging training grounded in current industry practice.
Observe and assess skills against competency requirements.
Coach apprentices, provide constructive feedback and help them stay on track.
Maintain regular contact with apprentices and monitor their progress.
Build trusted relationships with employers and workplace supervisors.
Maintain accurate assessment, progress and student records using digital systems.
Contribute to quality, compliance and continuous improvement activities.
You will primarily travel across Sydney and surrounding suburbs, including the Central Coast regions.
Occasional further travel and overnight stays may be required, with approved associated costs covered by CWBTS.
Qualifications What you will bring Essential Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****, TAE***** or an accepted equivalent).
A Certificate III trade qualification in Carpentry Strong current or recent carpentry experience and a clear understanding of quality workmanship and secure work practices.
The ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with apprentices, employers and colleagues.
Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
Confidence using digital tools, or the willingness and ability to learn systems used for training,



assessment and student records.
Australian working rights and a willingness to travel to worksites and training venues.
A Working with Children Check (Employee), or willingness to obtain one, and willingness to complete a Police Check and medical if required.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance training.
Highly regarded Experience in supervising, coaching or mentoring apprentices.
Experience in delivering or assessing apprenticeship-based training.
Familiarity with learning management or student record systems such as Ready Skills and Canvas.
