We are currently seeking experienced, client-service-focused administrators for upcoming AO3 Housing Officer opportunities.
When we receive a request for a temporary assignment, we consider candidates' relevant experience in relation to the nature of the role.
Housing Officers may work in a number of teams in a Housing Service Centre, providing a broad range of applicant, tenancy and property management services and advice to clients with complex support needs, advocates and other stakeholders.
The role will provide person-centred housing services, including: Managing tenancy arrangements including waitlists, allocations and vacancies.
Conducting routine property inspections and home visits.
Assessing new housing and bond loan applications and rental grants.
Managing tenancy issues, complaints, and maintenance follow-ups.
Checking property condition and compliance.
Updating housing records and departmental systems.
Assisting with arrears, vacancies, and tenancy changes.
Maintaining accurate client and property records and file notes.
We are seeking candidates with: Customer service experience (face-to-face and via telephone) with a proven ability to build rapport, actively listen, demonstrate empathy and de-escalate challenging customer interactions.
Previous administration experience in an office setting with a proven ability to pick up new systems and technology quickly and navigate multiple applications and screens efficiently.
Property management experience is an advantage (but not essential).
Proven experience and examples of managing your work effectively whilst working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Willingness to embrace new challenges and adapt to change.
Well developed, inclusive communication and interpersonal skills that focus on professional, ethical and culturally sensitive behavior.
Positive attitude and team player approach with experience adapting to different work tasks on a daily basis to support organizational goals.
Availability to work 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and commence the temporary assignment with short notice.
