We are seeking an experienced Hairdresser to support the organisation and management of operational activities within the clinic at Port Hedland, Western Australia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for attending to all operations associated with hair and beauty therapy services operating within our salon.
The position is suited to practical and technically capable individuals with experience in high-tech styling tools, salon management software, and digital colour systems to run our hair-care operations efficiently.
This is a hands-on role hairdresser role requiring the ability to work independently in a hair and beauty salon environment and to respond effectively to changing operational and/or service conditions as required.
Key Responsibilities Our Hairdresser will be responsible for: Client Consultation: Discuss client preferences, examine hair type and face shape, and recommend suitable cuts, colours, or treatments.
Washing and Treating: Shampoos, conditions, and apply specialised scalp or hair hydration treatments.
Cutting and Shaping: Trim, cut, and shape hair using scissors, razors, and clippers.
Colouring and Chemical Services: Apply tints, highlights, balayage,



permanent waves, or straightening solutions safely.
Styling and Finishing: Blow-dries and style hair for everyday looks or special events using irons, rollers, and brushes Hygiene and Safety: Clean workstations, sweep floors, and sterilise tools to meet health and safety standards.
Product Sales: Recommend and sell home hair care products, shampoos, and styling tools to clients.
Administrative Tasks: Manage bookings, greet walk-in customers, answer phones and processes payments.
Stock Management: Monitor product inventory and help reorder supplies when stock runs low.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have - Previous demonstrable performance of: Providing advice on hair care, beauty products and hairstyles Shampooing hair and conditioning scalps Colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair with chemical solutions Cutting hair with scissors, clippers and razors Styling hair into dreadlocks and braids and adding hair extensions Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches Cleaning work areas and sanitising instruments Arranging appointments and collecting payments May clean, colour, cut and style wigs and hairpieces.
What We Offer : Salary of $80,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation,

Skills and qualifications : The successful applicants will be confident to hit the ground running and utilise/expand their cutting, colouring or styling skills; a minimum of 2 years plus experience outside of their apprenticeship (holding a Cert 3 or higher in Ladies and Men's hairdressing); with advance cutting skills; and be comfortable working as part of a team with essential focus on great team culture, while possessing the initiation and ability to work independently.
