Public Sector People are working with the QLD State Government Department , who are seeking multiple experienced A06 WHS Project Officer officers on a temporary 6-month contract with opportunity to extend.
Overview: ASAP START Initial 6-month contract (+extension) A06 WHS Project Officer (positions listed below) Attractive pay rates from $78 p/h + 12% Super (PAYG) QLD State Government Brisbane Northern Suburbs On site parking | WFH up to two days per week Positions on offer: Senior Project Officer - WHS Governance Compliance Senior Project Officer - Health Wellbeing Senior Project Officer - WHS Systems Assurance Through undertaking a significant period of transformation, with major investments being made in governance, health and wellbeing, risk management and safety systems across the organisation.

Senior Project Officer - WHS Governance Compliance: This role is focused on strengthening WHS governance, compliance frameworks and risk management practices .
The position is responsible for driving improvements to the organisation's WHS Management System and ensuring consistent governance processes are implemented statewide.
Coordinate and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 WHS Governance Committees.
Lead implementation of ISO ***** and ISO ***** audit recommendations.
Drive improvements to the WHS Management System (WHSMS).
Senior Project Officer - Health Wellbeing: This role is centred on worker health, medical standards and wellbeing initiatives , with a significant focus on implementing current medical standards across Rural Services and delivering key health monitoring programs.
Support implementation of revised medical standards frameworks.
Support fatigue management, heat stress and manual handling projects.
Provide health and wellbeing project support across operational workforces.
Senior Project Officer - WHS Systems Assurance: This role focuses on WHS assurance, reporting, systems improvement, compliance monitoring and organisational data management .
It is aimed at creating the frameworks and systems required to measure WHS performance and drive continuous improvement.
Develop and implement the WHS Assurance Framework.
Establish assurance and review mechanisms for WHS compliance.
Support ongoing implementation and optimisation of the Integrum WHS system.
What we are looking for: Certificate IV or higher in Workplace Health and Safety.
Experience delivering complex projects within government, emergency services, health or regulated environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience developing policies, frameworks or programs.
Understanding of WHS legislation and contemporary safety practices.
Strong governance, reporting and problem-solving capabilities.
