We are looking for a Metallurgical Technician to join the team!
In this role, you will be supporting metallurgical operations by preparing and testing ore samples, conducting laboratory analyses, sampling in the processing plant and assisting metallurgists with both routine and bench-scale test work.
This role ensures accurate and timely metallurgical data to support ongoing projects.
This is a full-time ongoing position working a fly-in, fly-out roster (8 days on, 6 days off), 12-hour shifts per day) Main tasks : This is a critical operational role, with responsibilities including (but not limited to): Preparing ore samples for analysis and testing.
Conducting physical and chemical laboratory tests in accordance with standard procedures.
Conducting and supervising bench-scale testwork, particularly performing bottle rolls and grind establishments.




Liaising with metallurgists regarding ongoing testwork and provide updates on progress.
Assisting with laboratory operations, including leave coverage in sample preparation, logistics, equipment setup and maintenance.
Inspecting and maintaining online Cyanoprobe and Clarometer in the plant Performing weekly and monthly GIC surveys in the processing plant, and monthly plant and bore water sampling Supporting metallurgists with additional work activities as required including in the laboratory and the processing plant.
Required/Relevant Qualifications Work Experience : Minimum of diploma in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field, plus minimum 1 year' relevant work experience in the last 5 years.
3 years' relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.
Required/Relevant Skills Knowledge : Strong knowledge of metallurgy principles.
Experience in sampling, sample preparation and metallurgy testwork (particularly bottle rolls).
Proficiency in using various laboratory equipment and tools.
Experience in using lab rod mills, pulverisers and PAL machines will be highly regarded.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team, particularly with Metallurgist and Assay Laboratory team.
Relevant qualifications in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field preferred.
Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's Licence.
