This full time opportunity is ideal for experienced Residential Care Officers who are passionate about improving the lives of others while building a rewarding career in Australia.
Working within residential and supported accommodation settings, you will provide compassionate support that promotes independence, dignity, wellbeing, and community participation.
Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred care and support to participants in residential accommodation
Assist with personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and daily living activities
Support meal preparation and other household tasks
Promote participant independence, dignity, and social inclusion
Build positive relationships with participants, families, carers, and health care professionals
Support participants in achieving goals outlined in individual support plans
Assist with medication administration in accordance with organisational policies
Maintain accurate progress notes, documentation, and incident reports
Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioural support requirements
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and relevant care standards
Participate in team meetings,



ongoing training, and quality improvement initiatives
Work rotating rosters including weekends, public holidays, overnight, and sleepover shifts
Requirements & Eligibility
Diploma qualification or overseas Bachelor's degree, preferably in Nursing, or at least three years of experience in lieu of formal qualifications
Minimum three years of experience in disability support, residential care, or community services
Willingness to relocate within Queensland or New South Wales
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Eligible to obtain required worker screening clearances
Ability to provide a Police Clearance Certificate
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours or high-intensity support needs is an advantage
Knowledge of disability support standards and positive behavioural support is desirable
Medication administration and manual handling experience is highly regarded
Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality, person-centred care
