SSO Handling & Storage is looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our Queanbeyan installation team.
n
We work across commercial, industrial and warehouse environments throughout Canberra, NSW and regional areas. Our projects include commercial fit-outs, furniture and FF&E; installation, warehouse storage systems, specialist equipment, custom fabrication, repairs, relocations and project work.
n
Pallet racking and storage systems make up a significant part of what we do, but this is
not a racking-only role
.
n
One week might involve a warehouse installation. The next could include commercial furniture, custom equipment, repairs, workshop preparation or a regional project.
What you'll be doing n
n
Installing commercial and industrial equipment
n
Furniture and FF&E; installation
n
Installing pallet racking, shelving and storage systems
n
Measuring, marking out and setting up installation areas
n
Drilling concrete and installing mechanical anchors
n
Reading layouts, drawings and installation instructions
n
Loading, delivering and unloading materials
n
Preparing jobs and equipment in our Queanbeyan workshop
n
Assisting with custom fabrication and project-specific solutions
n
Equipment relocations, repairs and minor rectification work
n
Assisting with mezzanine, handrail and fit-out projects
n
Taking QA photos and completing basic job documentation
n
Working directly with customers and other contractors
n
Occasional regional travel and overnight work
n

Willing to learn different systems and types of work

Able to take responsibility for the quality of your work

Essential n

Current driver's licence

Australian working rights

Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one promptly

Reliable transport to our Queanbeyan workshop

Steel-cap safety footwear
n
Useful but not essential n

Forklift licence

Working at Heights

MR or HR licence

Previous construction, installation, fit-out or racking experience
