Senior Contracts Specialist | Perth, Western Australia | Permanent Our client is an established organisation providing critical services to customers across the energy, resources and industrial sectors.

As the business continues to strengthen its commercial and contractual capability, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join the Perth team.
This is a hands-on commercial position with responsibility for the end-to-end management of customer and supplier contracts, working closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are understood, commercial risks are effectively managed and strong business outcomes are achieved.
The position would suit an experienced contracts skilled who combines strong contractual knowledge with a pragmatic, commercially minded approach and enjoys working closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities Reporting into senior leadership, you will provide commercial and contractual support across a portfolio of operational contracts.
Manage contracts across the full lifecycle, from contract review and negotiation through to execution, administration, performance management and close-out.
Review, interpret and negotiate customer and supplier contracts, ensuring commercial and contractual positions appropriately protect the organisation.
Identify, assess and manage contractual and commercial risks, providing clear recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Prepare, review and manage variations, claims, extensions, amendments and other contractual correspondence.
Support the negotiation and resolution of contractual and commercial matters with customers, suppliers and other external parties.
Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, performance and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
Maintain appropriate contract governance, documentation, registers and reporting.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure contractual requirements are understood and effectively implemented.
Provide practical commercial advice to operational and business leaders on contractual rights, obligations, risks and opportunities.
Support commercial negotiations and contribute to the resolution of disputes and emerging contractual issues.
Develop strong relationships across operations, finance, procurement, legal and senior leadership.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve contract management processes, governance, templates and commercial controls.
Support the development of greater contractual and commercial awareness across the broader business.
About You Experience within Oil Gas,
Resources or Logistics is essential Strong end-to-end contract management and administration experience.
Demonstrated capability reviewing, interpreting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
Experience managing variations, claims, extensions, amendments and contractual correspondence.
Strong understanding of contractual and commercial risk.
Experience managing both customer and/or supplier contracts.
Well-developed commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate contractual requirements into clear, practical advice for operational stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail combined with sound commercial judgement.
Confidence engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Experience improving contract management processes, governance and commercial controls.
