Our client, a well-established and highly regarded organisation within the marine and engineering sector, is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Project Controller to join their Darwin-based operations team.
n
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic operational environment supporting engineering, maintenance, and vessel-related projects across a large and diverse fleet operation.
About the Role
n
Working closely with the Engineering Manager and wider project team, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering projects, maintenance schedules, documentation, reporting, contractor coordination, and project administration activities.
n
This role will suit someone with strong project coordination and scheduling experience within engineering, marine, mechanical, shipyard, maintenance, construction, or heavy industry environments.
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate engineering and maintenance project activities from planning through to completion
n
Assist with project scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and progress tracking
n
Support dry-docking, maintenance, and vessel engineering projects
n
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, work packs, and schedules
n
Coordinate contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
n
Monitor project costs, variations, and schedule performance
n
Assist with procurement and material coordination activities
n
Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and operational standards
n
Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering operations
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
Experience within marine, mechanical, engineering, shipyard, maintenance, construction, or heavy industry environments
n




Strong project coordination, scheduling, and reporting skills
n
Experience managing contractors and project documentation
n
Ability to work within fast-paced operational environments
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
n
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems
n
Australian Driver's Licence
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Marine engineering or mechanical background
n
Experience within vessel maintenance or dry-docking environments
n
Trade or engineering qualifications
n
Experience with project controls, forecasting, or maintenance planning systems
n
