About the role The Emergency Management Operations Coordinator supports the Emergency Management Coordinator in planning, coordinating and evaluating emergency management training, education programs, resources, procedures and business continuity initiatives across WCHN.
The role coordinates the testing and evaluation of emergency management plans and responses, monitors compliance with statutory and accreditation requirements,



and contributes to the development and implementation of relevant policies and procedures.
Key duties of the role Supports the development and implementation of WCHN's Emergency Management strategy and operational response to meet business goals.
Ensures a variety of effective programs and activities are in place to promote best practices.
Develop Strategies to ensure that employees engaged in emergency management processes receive the necessary education, training, and support.
Ensure that a variety of effective programs and activities are planned and can be implemented to support business continuity at WCHN.
Emergency Management expertise is developed through strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Skills and Experience Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including expertise in preparing written reports and recommendations and influencing and negotiating with a diverse range of key stakeholders using a variety of strategies to foster cooperation.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software and information systems including expertise in analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data and performance indicators and providing accurate and appropriate findings.
Significant experience in using contemporary project management principles in leading, planning, developing and coordinating concurrent emergency response projects,



programs and / or other business continuity planning activities within time and budget constraints.
Comprehensive knowledge of best practice in relation to emergency / disaster management principles (including fire and security management) and business continuity planning including a willingness to share and promote this understanding.
