The Opportunity Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for an opportunity to combine strategic leadership with commercial influence?
We are seeking a commercially focused Finance Manager to join our Finance team on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team of professionals while providing critical financial insight, business partnering and commercial support across the organisation.
This role is responsible for leading budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering meaningful financial reporting, driving continuous improvement initiatives and partnering with operational leaders to support informed decision-making.
You'll play a key role in identifying commercial opportunities, mitigating risks and ensuring the business achieves optimal outcomes for both City and our partners.
Key Responsibilities Financial Planning Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the business Develop accurate driver-based budgets and forecasts in partnership with stakeholders Identify financial risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies Drive accountability and ownership of financial performance across business units Continuously improve budgeting processes, systems and reporting tools Financial Reporting Commercial Analysis Deliver timely,



accurate and meaningful financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders Provide commercial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making Develop business cases and financial models to support new initiatives Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for improved profitability and efficiency Provide commercial challenge and support throughout project and operational initiatives Leadership Stakeholder Management Lead, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals Build strong relationships with operational leaders, senior management and key stakeholders Partner with business units to deliver commercially sound outcomes Influence decision-making through effective communication and strategic financial advice Foster a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing team environment Governance, Risk Continuous Improvement Ensure adherence to financial controls, compliance standards and corporate governance requirements Identify commercial and operational risks and support mitigation activities Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting frameworks Support internal and external audit requirements Maintain strong financial governance and compliance practices Experience Expertise Essential Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) Proven experience in financial management, management accounting and commercial analysis Previous people leadership and team management experience Strong budgeting,



forecasting and financial reporting expertise Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desirable Experience working within a large or complex operational environment Exposure to facilities management, services-based industries or multi-site businesses Experience driving process improvement and reporting transformation initiatives Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership with strategic financial decision-making To be successful in this role, you will be: A strategic and commercially minded finance leader Highly analytical with strong attention to detail A trusted business partner who can influence stakeholders at all levels An engaging people leader who develops and supports high-performing teams Proactive, solutions-focused and driven by continuous improvement Able to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery Confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment What's on Offer?
