Job description Brisbane | Queensland Government We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support procurement and contract management activities within a Queensland Government agency.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a procurement professional who can provide sound advice to stakeholders, manage procurement processes and deliver compliant, well-documented outcomes.
About the role Facilitate procurement planning, sourcing and evaluation activities.
Prepare specifications, procurement plans, evaluation reports and briefing documentation.
Provide advice on Queensland Government procurement policy and internal processes.
Conduct market research, supplier engagement and vendor negotiations.
Support contract and consultancy engagements.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Maintain procurement records and support continuous improvement.
About you Demonstrated procurement experience within Queensland Government or another Australian Government environment.
Robust understanding of Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP) and government procurement processes.
Experience managing procurement activities from planning through to evaluation and supplier engagement.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and provide accurate procurement advice.
Experience preparing procurement documentation, reports and briefing materials.
This role is suited to an experienced government procurement professional operating at AO6 / AO7 level.




Strategic procurement leadership experience is not the primary focus, however strong procurement knowledge and the ability to independently manage moderate procurement activities are essential.
