The Opportunity Sharp Carter is partnering with a highly regarded Victorian statutory authority to appoint a Finance Manager.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will lead key aspects of the finance function including financial accounting, statutory reporting, taxation compliance, audit management, financial controls and finance systems.
Leading a team of three, you will play a visible leadership role while partnering with executive stakeholders across the organisation.
A key priority will be leading the finance workstream of a significant ERP implementation.
Working closely with internal project teams and external partners, you will help shape future-state finance processes, governance frameworks and reporting capabilities.
The position also provides broad exposure across government reporting requirements, financial governance, compliance, capital programs and stakeholder management, making it an attractive prospect for a technically strong finance leader looking to drive meaningful organisational outcomes.

with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes while playing a key role in strengthening financial governance and supporting strategic decision-making.
About You CA or CPA qualification together with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
Robust financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit and taxation experience.
Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
Experience managing external audits and preparing audited financial statements.
Strong understanding of taxation obligations including GST, FBT and Payroll Tax.
Extensive ERP systems experience, ideally including exposure to implementation or transformation projects.
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and developing finance professionals.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executives, auditors, government stakeholders and business leaders.
A proactive continuous improvement mindset and demonstrated success improving systems, controls and finance processes.
Experience within government, a statutory authority, public sector organisation or similarly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
