Job Description Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers.
They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
EL1 Software Engineers, often referred to as Development Experts, have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers.
They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced – in this case utilising SAP BODS which is an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) platform that integrates, cleanses, and loads data from multiple sources into target systems like SAP HANA, SAP BW, or non-SAP data warehouses.
It combines data integration, data quality, data profiling, and data processing in a single solution.
An EL1 SAP BODS Software Engineer engages in the design and development of high-quality solutions in support of business and technical requirements.
They lead software development projects and provide technical leadership to their teams - managing the planning, development and construction activities.
EL1 SAP BODS Software Engineers evaluate and resolve complex issues within Agile development and production environments.
Technical skills · Experience using SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) to implement batch data ingestion pipelines.
· Experience using the following in SAP BODS: script transforms, query transforms, validation transforms, · database extraction functions, database load functions, address transforms, name transforms, and real time services.
· Highly desirable — experience using any of the following databases: SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Teradata.
Requirements Key duties and responsibilities May include some or all the following:
1. lead and create software and technical designs for the realisation of highly complex development solutions
2.
develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of a product's code base
3. provide specialist technical advice on software development and maintenance
4. lead the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance for the team's developments
5. lead analysis, design, software development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities
6. review and undertake high-level analysis of technical requirements to support project evaluation with proposed solutions
7. investigate and resolve highly complex ICT issues Requirements Key duties and responsibilities We are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer who has experience working in large complex ICT environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing and tuning the department's storage systems at physical and virtual layers.
The Senior Storage Engineer will also be responsible to deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network Switches as required.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of recent and emerging technologies to shape the future direction of the department's storage and data platforms.
The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring junior team members.
Essential criteria 1.Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the design, administration, tuning and troubleshooting of one or more of the following storage systems: • HPE 3PAR, Primera, Alletra Storage Systems • NetApp E-Series • Dell Data Domain • Brocade Fabric Switches • SANnav • Scality Artesca 2.Ability to produce design, build and operations documents for processes and procedures.
3.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to work with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.
4.Experience / Knowledge of following technology: • Veeam Backup and Replication
