Head of Obstetrics Gynaecology | Leadership Opportunity | Northern Rivers NSW | Staff Specialist / Senior Specialist Lead the future of Obstetrics Gynaecology across the Clarence Valley while enjoying an exceptional regional coastal lifestyle.
Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist to take on the role of Head of the Obstetrics Gynaecology Department at this Base Hospital .
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior O G specialist to combine clinical practice, departmental leadership, education and service development within a supportive regional health network.
The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of contemporary, comprehensive and best-practice Obstetrics Gynaecology services while supporting the development and wellbeing of medical staff and doctors in training.
The Opportunity As Head of Obstetrics Gynaecology , you will provide clinical leadership and oversight of the department, working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
You will have an important role in developing a strong, collaborative and sustainable O G service across Grafton Base Hospital and the Clarence Network.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Obstetrics Gynaecology Department .
Provide contemporary, comprehensive specialist O G services.
Promote best-practice clinical care and optimal patient outcomes.
Provide clinical leadership across the department and wider network.
Foster effective multidisciplinary and inter-departmental collaboration.
Assist with the efficient and effective allocation and management of resources.
Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety.
Support training, supervision and education of clinicians across relevant disciplines.
Take a lead role in the accreditation and maintenance of medical training programs .
Support the professional development, supervision and wellbeing of doctors in training.
Contribute to workforce planning and service development.
Promote a positive and supportive departmental culture.
Leadership Training This role offers the opportunity to make a broader contribution to the development of the regional medical workforce.

Remuneration Employment Position: Head of Obstetrics Gynaecology / Staff Specialist Employment: Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time Hours: Up to 40 hours per week Remuneration: $278,355 $376,068 per annum , full-time equivalent, depending on experience Senior Specialist remuneration: May be considered, subject to CE approval Location: Grafton, Northern NSW About Northern NSW Local Health District Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) is a comprehensive healthcare network caring for communities across the Northern Rivers of NSW .

About You To be successful, you will have: Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent recognised specialist qualification.
Specialist registration with AHPRA , or eligibility for specialist registration.
Appropriate consultant-level experience in Obstetrics Gynaecology.
Demonstrated clinical leadership capability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to contemporary, evidence-based clinical practice.
Experience or interest in education, supervision and mentoring.
Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety.
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and inter-departmental teams.
A genuine commitment to supporting doctors in training and workforce wellbeing.
International Medical Graduates and Specialist International Medical Graduates with appropriate qualifications and eligibility for specialist registration in Australia are encouraged to enquire.
