Join a new and growing secondary school community in Clyde North, currently supporting around 230 students across Years 7-8.
With modern, purpose-built facilities and significant growth planned, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape a developing Woodwork program.
About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic Woodwork Teacher to teach primarily Years 8 and 9, with Year 7 Woodwork being introduced in the future.
The workshop and curriculum foundations are in place, including hand and electric tools, but you'll have the freedom to bring your own ideas, creativity and practical projects.
An additional teacher will be in classes alongside you on Mondays and Wednesdays, providing extra support and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, hands-on Woodwork lessons Develop practical projects and build on the existing program Maintain a safe, inclusive and well-managed workshop Teach safe use of tools, machinery and materials Build positive relationships and engage students Differentiate learning for diverse student needs Contribute to the ongoing development of the Woodwork program What You'll Need Current VIT registration or eligibility Experience teaching Woodwork, Design Technology,
Product Design or Materials Technology Confidence using hand and electric tools Strong classroom and workshop management Energy, creativity and a practical approach to teaching Ability to build genuine rapport with students A collaborative, positive and student-focused approach Current WWCC and Australian work rights Why Join?
