Our client is respected by those who know the sector What You Will Be Working On This is a 70% hunter, 30% farmer role.
You will spend most of your time identifying and converting new business opportunities, while keeping strong relationships with key existing customers.
Own and grow your sales territory in line with the business plan and annual targets Build and manage a short, medium and long-term pipeline, and keep it accurate in the CRM Develop account plans across your top 10 key and target customers Sell the full suite of two-way radio networks, next-generation technology and Velocity solution across the technology stack Lead customer meetings, site visits, proposals, tenders and commercial negotiations Work with technical and engineering teams to shape solutions that fit complex customer environments Build trusted relationships across government, mining, utilities, transport, public safety, rail,
councils and industrial sectors Engage effectively with operations teams on the ground and C-suite decision makers at the top Stay across competitor activity, market developments and changing customer needs Represent the business at industry events, partner engagements and customer forums What Type of Person Will Be Successful If you have been working as a BDM, Account Manager, Technical Sales Specialist or Solutions Sales professional in two-way radio, critical communications, private mobile radio or telecommunications, we want to hear from you.
To be successful in this role you will: Have proven experience in two-way radio, critical communications, wireless networks or complex technology sales Understand DMR, analogue radio, P25, LTE or two-way radio networks, you do not need to learn what the technology does Bring a genuine hunter mindset with a track record of opening and converting new business Know how to talk to both operations people in the field and C-suite stakeholders in the boardroom Have experience selling into sectors such as mining, government, transport, utilities, public safety, rail, councils or industrial operations Be commercially disciplined, territory planning, pipeline management, forecasting and budget accountability come naturally to you Be self-starting, personally accountable and driven to succeed without needing to be managed Hold full Australian working rights and a current driver's licence, with the ability to travel as required Highly regarded: experience with TETRA, satellite, microwave, edge computing, IoT, WiFi, LEO satellite or vehicle connectivity solutions; existing relationships across state and local government, mining, transport or utilities; experience with channel partners, dealers or systems integrators; knowledge of public sector or infrastructure tender processes.
