We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join Arup's Queensland Electrical and Connected Infrastructure team, delivering electrical and communications designs for a wide range of local and interstate infrastructure projects.
You will work on diverse project types including roads, public spaces, tunnels, rail, ports, airports, and architectural environments while supporting the growth and development of junior colleagues.

The Opportunity •Deliver LV electrical or communications designs across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, working independently within a defined area of responsibility.
•Check and ensure the quality of own work and, guide and develop others through mentoring, feedback, and skill-building.
•Prepare technical documentation, including calculation, reports and correspondence, and represent the team and discipline at external meetings and events.
•Support compliance activities by applying standards, developing design strategies, and contributing to research, analysis, and reporting.
•Lead electrical or communications design packages, including resource planning, monitor progress, multidisciplinary service collaboration,
project coordination, interaction with internal and external clients.

Is this role right for you?
•A recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineer or a closely related field, with experience in infrastructure projects (consulting experience preferred).
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant industry software such as AutoCAD, PowerCAD, AGi32, and PerfectLite is preferred.
•Strong communication, interpersonal and technical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
•High attention to detail, strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to changes while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
•A creative, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to solve problems innovatively and continuously expand technical knowledge.
•Qualified engineering chartership or progression toward Chartered Status, coupled with proven knowledge of OH
