We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Compliance Engineer to join our Customer Solutions team at Wetherill Park.
This is a hands-on technical role where you will help ensure CSR products, systems and technical documentation meet the requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian and New Zealand Standards, and other relevant codes and standards.

The opportunity
Reporting to the Building Systems Engineering Manager, you will work across technical compliance, product testing and assessment, documentation, and new product development.
You will provide technical compliance support across CSR's Interior Systems product range, helping ensure our products and systems meet relevant building codes, standards, and performance requirements.
Collaborating with CSR's engineering, product development, manufacturing, quality, marketing, and commercial teams, while also building solid relationships with external laboratories, consultants, and compliance providers.
Key responsibilities:
* Supporting technical analysis, assessment, and testing programs for new and existing CSR products.




* Assessing product performance and evidence of suitability against the NCC and applicable Australian and New Zealand Standards.
* Coordinating testing through external laboratories, consultants, and CSR's in-house testing capabilities.
* Developing, reviewing, and maintaining technical compliance documentation, including manuals, guides, design tables, assessment reports, certificates, and technical details.
* Ensuring published technical product information remains accurate, current, and compliant.
* Providing subject matter expertise on relevant Standards, Codes and NCC requirements.
* Supporting current product development projects from a technical compliance perspective.
* Working closely with CSR manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure ongoing product performance meets compliance requirements.
* Managing relationships with external testing authorities, consultants, and technical service providers.
* Supporting practical laboratory testing, including sample preparation, test set-up, monitoring, and data recording.
* Contributing to a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
About you
You are an analytical and solutions-focused engineer who enjoys getting into the technical detail while working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
You will ideally bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering,



such as Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in engineering analysis, technical compliance, product testing, new product development, or a related technical environment.
* Good knowledge of the National Construction Code and relevant product & testing Codes and Standards.
* Building or construction industry knowledge, ideally involving building products, materials, or systems.
* Strong technical analysis, mathematical and problem-solving capability.
* Excellent written communication skills and confidence preparing technical documentation and reports.
* Strong project and process management skills.
* A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, and external testing providers.
* A practical, results-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
Experience undertaking experiments, conducting product testing, or working with laboratory equipment will be highly regarded.
