We are seeking an experienced Hair or Beauty Salon Manager to support the organisation and management of operational activities within the clinic at Port Hedland, Western Australia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for attending to all operations associated with beauty therapy services operating within our salon.
The position is suited to practical and technically capable individuals with experience in Skin Analysers, Laser and IPL Systems, Radiofrequency (RF) and Ultrasound Devices, and hand-tools associated with Microdermabrasion and Hydrodermabrasion.
This is a hands-on role managerial role requiring the ability to work independently in an beauty salon environment and to respond effectively to changing operational and/or service conditions as required.
Key Responsibilities Our Hair or Beauty Salon Manager will be responsible for: Manage all procedures within the salon and perform facial and skincare treatments - cleansing, exfoliation, masks, moisturising and treatments for particular skin concerns.
Hair removal - waxing, threading and sometimes other forms of temporary hair removal.
Nail care - manicures, pedicures, nail shaping and polish or gel applications.
Make-up - everyday, special-occasion or event make-up.
Eyelash and eyebrow treatments - tinting, shaping, lash lifting/extensions and brow treatments, depending on qualifications.
Body treatments - body scrubs, wraps and some forms of massage, where appropriately trained.




Consultations - assessing a client's skin and recommending suitable treatments and home-care products.
Product advice and sales - explaining and recommending skincare and beauty products.
Salon hygiene and safety - sterilising equipment, maintaining treatment areas and following health and safety procedures.
Client administration - making appointments, maintaining treatment records and processing payments.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have - Previous demonstrable performance of: Salon operations - managing the daily opening, closing and general operation of the hair and beauty salon.
Staff management - recruiting, training, supervising and rostering hairdressers, beauty therapists and other salon employees.
Service coordination - coordinating hairdressing, colouring, styling, beauty treatments and other services to ensure clients receive appropriate and timely services.
Client management - handling bookings, client enquiries, feedback and complaints, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Quality control - monitoring the quality and consistency of hair and beauty services and ensuring salon procedures and professional standards are followed.
Stock management - ordering, receiving and monitoring professional hair, skincare, beauty and retail products, as well as controlling stock levels and wastage.
Supplier management - liaising with product suppliers, distributors and service providers and negotiating orders where appropriate.
Financial administration - monitoring sales, daily takings, expenses and operating costs, preparing budgets and assisting with financial reporting.
Sales and marketing - developing promotions, pricing strategies and marketing activities to attract new clients and retain existing customers.
Staff performance - setting work standards, monitoring performance,



conducting staff meetings and addressing training or performance issues.
Workplace health and safety - ensuring the salon complies with applicable health, safety, hygiene and infection-control requirements.
Equipment and premises - arranging maintenance of salon equipment, treatment areas and premises and ensuring the salon presents a professional environment.
Compliance and records - maintaining appropriate staff, client, financial, stock and operational records and ensuring relevant regulatory requirements are observed.
Business development - identifying opportunities to increase revenue, expand services, improve client retention and develop the salon's customer base.
What We Offer : Salary of $80,000-$90,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
