Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical infrastructure? We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the delivery of a substation construction project in rural Victoria. This is a unique opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role with a leading EPC contractor specialising in major transmission and distribution infrastructure projects across Australia.

This role is ideal for a Project Manager who thrives in a site-based environment and is confident managing electrical, civil, and structural works. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
n
As the Project Manager, you will:
n
•Lead the site-based delivery of substation construction works from mobilisation through to completion
n
•Manage programme, cost, quality, and safety across all work fronts
n
•Coordinate electrical, civil, and structural scopes of work
n
•Act as the key point of contact for client and stakeholder management
n
•Oversee subcontractors and supply chain to ensure smooth project progression
n
•Identify and resolve risks and issues proactively to avoid project delays
n
•Support commissioning activities and project close-out
n
Qualifications
n
To excel in this role, you will need:
n
•5 to 8 years of experience in project management within transmission and distribution or broader energy infrastructure
n
•A strong electrical background, with solid working knowledge of civil and structural works
n
•Proven experience in EPC contracting
n
•Substation project experience (highly regarded)
n
•The ability to work effectively in a rural, site-based environment
n
•Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
•Flexibility to work on a roster-based schedule or Monday to Friday, depending on your preference
n
Day-to-Day
n
Your typical day will involve:
n
•Overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
n
•Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that arise
n
•Coordinating with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to maintain alignment on project goals
n
•Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns
n
•Managing subcontractors and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
n
•Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications
n
