nJob Summary:n
nOur client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Nursing Support Worker to join our aged care team. In this hands-on role, you'll provide essential clinical and personal care support to residents while working closely with nursing and therapy teams to ensure the highest standards of care.n

nKey Duties & Responsibilities:n
n
nClinical & Care Support:n
n• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance while promoting independencen
n• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output as directedn
n• Support medication management by reminding residents and assisting with medication administration under nurse supervisionn
n• Assist with basic wound care, applying dressings, and reporting any changes to nursing staffn
n
nTherapy & Rehabilitation Assistance:n
n• Implement prescribed therapy plans including gentle exercises and mobility supportn
n• Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists during treatment sessionsn
n• Support dementia care by implementing behaviour management strategiesn
n
nDocumentation & Reporting:n
n• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of care providedn
n• Document changes in resident conditions, behaviours, or care needsn
n• Complete incident reports and risk assessments when requiredn
n
nResident Wellbeing & Engagement:n




n• Provide emotional support through active listening and meaningful conversationn
n• Encourage resident participation in social activities and community programsn
n• Advocate for resident rights and preferences in all care decisionsn
n
nSafety & Compliance:n
n• Follow infection control protocols including proper hand hygiene and PPE usen
n• Assist with manual handling using correct equipment and techniquesn
n• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or near misses promptlyn
n
nWhat They're Looking For:n
n• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalentn
n• 1+ years of full-time experience in aged care or disability supportn
n• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (issued within last 5 years) is preferablen
n• Current flu vaccination & COVID-19 immunizationn
n• Reliable transportn
