Job Description
General Summary:n
nThe Sales Engineer is responsible for assessing the potential application of products or services and offers solutionsn
nthat meet customer needs. This role works in partnership with the Sales team to drive Sales support, generaten
npipeline, and help create an overall successful adoption of the products and services all the way to implementationn
nand onboarding.n
nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:n
n• Provides support to the Sales team(s), with a high attention to detailn
n• Researches, analyzes, and documents findingsn
n• Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing companyn
nproducts or servicesn
n• Provides technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future productn
ndevelopmentsn
n• Represents both technical and functional aspects of our suite of products/services and proposes hown
nthese benefit prospective customersn
n• Provides exemplary technical expertise and independent creative discretion in producing technical andn
nproduct demonstrations and presentationsn
n• Executes proof of concepts with prospects at both a technical and business level to show valuen
n• Exercises discretion and judgement regarding product specifications required to address customern
nrequirements, assesses customers' needs, and recommends solutions that optimize valuen
n• Works independently or as part of a sales team with customers to position technology to both businessn
nand technical users in a consultative manner and through product capability assessmentsn
n• Prepares, researches, and provides input into technical RFPs/RFQsn
n• Acts as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams to provide product knowledge and technologyn
nexpertise through training, coaching, and product supportn
n• Pursues and maintains skilled and technical knowledge through ongoing training and educationn
n• May coach and review the work of other team membersn
nKnowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:n
n• Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervisionn
n• Advanced knowledge of applicable work arean
n• Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per partner requirementn
n• Proven sales track record of successn
n• Ability to identify opportunities and leverage internal and external resources appropriatelyn
n• Understanding of relevant products and servicesn
n• Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsn
n• Team player with willingness to work both in a team environment as well as independentlyn
nEducational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:n
n• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent business experiencen
n• 3+ years of relevant experiencen
n• Experience with a business process or management applicationn
n• Experience with a CPQ tooln
n• Experience with a CRM, such as Salesforcen
n• Preferred: Consultant experiencen
n• Preferred: Experience in relevant channels such as MDP, VAR, OE, TSP, Internal IT, and/or MSP+n
nWorking Conditions:n
n• Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on locationn
n• *****% travel may be requiredn
n• May require occasional work outside of normal business hours (conferences, events, securing deals, etc.)
