About the role
n
We are currently seeking experienced candidates to join our team as Deckhands on a casual and full-time basis. This is your chance to create memorable guest experiences through exceptional guest service delivery and vessel operations.
n
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
n
n
Preparation of the vessels for transportation
n
Safe securing and departure of vessels
n
Safety and comfort of all guests
n
Conducting rescue and lookout duties
n
Assist with food service and daily cleaning duties
n
In-water rescue and lookout duties for guests
n
Ensuring high-quality service delivery
n
n
About you
n
The ideal candidate will be motivated and possess a passion for sharing special places and creating lasting memories. You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive 'can-do' attitude, comfortable working on water with extensive deckhand experience, and committed to delivering high-quality,



professional guest service while proudly representing Cruise Whitsundays.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following attributes:
n
n
Reliability and self-motivation with a proactive approach, allowing you to adapt to various situations and ensure a positive guest experience.
n
A minimum of 1 year of experience in Marine Operations, with demonstrated deck skills and a strong understanding of marine and tourism environments.
n
Intermediate to advanced swimming skills, along with the ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining high levels of marine safety and compliance, ensuring all training and certificates are up to date
n
