About the role
n
As a result of our strategic growth plans, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our WA team of 50+ staff. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and guide CMW Geosciences operations, strategic direction, and continued growth. You will bring an in-depth understanding of the WA market, along with proven leadership skills and the ability to drive high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the WA business strategy and operations, driving growth, managing risk, and delivering regional objectives.
n
Oversee financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, profitability, and commercial decision-making.
n
Provide strong leadership and people management, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and positive workplace culture.
n
Drive business development and client engagement, building relationships, securing opportunities, and growing market presence.
n
Champion safety, quality, and technical excellence, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and outstanding service delivery.
n

What You'll Need
n
n
n
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent)
n




10+ years' experience as a geotechnical professional + minimum 4 years' experience in management position within an engineering consultancy setting
n
Proven leader with a strong track record of building, developing, and growing high-performing teams across a region.
n
Strong understanding of the WA market, with demonstrated success in winning work and driving business growth.
n
Commercially astute, with experience managing P&L; performance, budgets, and business outcomes.
n
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with flexibility to travel across WA as required.
n
