We're currently seeking a Deputy Project Manager to join our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive professional to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of consulting projects across Australia.
n
The opportunity
n
In this role, you'll work closely with Team Executives and Project Managers to help deliver high-quality project outcomes while ensuring financial and operational performance is maintained. You'll be instrumental in supporting project controls, financial tracking, and portfolio management activities that drive successful delivery.
n

What you'll do
n
n
Support the successful delivery of a portfolio of EHS projects in line with best practice project management principles
n
Partner with Project Managers to manage budgets, track costs, validate invoicing, and support project close-out
n
Monitor project performance including margins and labour multipliers, identifying risks and opportunities
n
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and insights for leadership
n
Coordinate project reviews, track actions, and follow up on deliverables
n
Identify and escalate project or portfolio "red flags" to support proactive management
n
Support procurement processes and supplier engagement
n
Contribute to time tracking, reporting, and invoicing activities
n
Collaborate with Project Finance Specialists to maintain accurate financial forecasts
n
Champion health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Support initiatives that enhance client experience and project delivery outcomes
n

About you
n
You're a detail-oriented and systems-minded professional who brings structure and clarity to complex project environments. You're confident working across multiple priorities and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
n
You'll also bring:
n
n
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
n
2–6 years' experience in project coordination, project support, or similar roles
n
Working knowledge of project management frameworks (e.g. PMI)
n
Experience with project controls, cost tracking, or financial reporting
n
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
n
Experience in consulting environments and/or PMP certification (desirable)
n
