About the Role:

ETS are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to support Operations in South East Queensland for our major clients EQL, Qld Rail, Roadtek & project partners. This role will report directly through to the HSEQ Manager and work closely with Operational Managers across our Queensland depots.

The role will be based out of Narangba office, with regular travel to our depots throughout Queensland to provide HSEQ support to the team. Some living away from home will also be required as part of this role.

The primary functions of the role are to:

- Provide local level operational HSEQ support and advice

- Support and guide operational areas in ongoing enhancement of HSEQ culture and behaviours.

- Work as an active business partner with key stakeholders at all levels in the business to help deliver improved business performance

- Deliver ongoing continuous improvement of HSEQ systems and culture in line with business wide HSEQ strategies

The key responsibilities for the position will be:

- Provide HSEQ operational support

- Foster a strong safety culture and mentor field crews through onsite presence and guidance

- Lead, influence and coach teams to continually improve HSEQ behaviours and performance

- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Conduct incident investigations, field audits, inductions, training and other HSEQ activities

- Support risk management, toolbox talks, HSEQ committees and communication initiatives

To be successful in this hands-on role you will need the following skills and experience:

- Cert IV, OHS or tertiary qualifications in a HSEQ or related discipline





- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a HSEQ role in a similar industry & risk profile

- Vegetation, utilities and/or metering experience highly desirable

- Strong communicator with stakeholder engagement and investigation skills (ICAM training a plus)

- Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously and juggle multiple priorities

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
