Our client is a growing and innovative e-waste recycling company specialising in sustainable recovery and processing solutions within the recycling and resource recovery industry. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join their operations team based in Smithfield.

This role will involve monitoring and supporting day-to-day plant operations from a central control room environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and operational performance targets are achieved. You will be responsible for real-time process monitoring, responding to system alerts, coordinating operational adjustments, and supporting production activities when required.

This role will involve monitoring and supporting day-to-day plant operations from a central control room environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and operational performance targets are achieved. You will be responsible for real-time process monitoring, responding to system alerts, coordinating operational adjustments, and supporting production activities when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor plant operations and process systems in real time through digital control systems and operational software
- Track operational parameters and identify abnormalities or process issues
- Respond to alarms and coordinate corrective actions where required




- Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and reporting documentation
- Liaise with production, maintenance, and operational teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Support quality and compliance processes within the facility
- Assist with troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives
- Follow workplace health & safety procedures and environmental compliance standards
- Perform manual handling duties and operational support work when required (up to 25kg)

To Be Successful

- Laboratory background or experience working within technical/scientific environments is highly beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor systems accurately
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working with technology, monitoring systems, and operational software
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and respond to operational changes
- Flexible to work across varying shift times
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling up to 25kg
- Safety-focused with a reliable work ethic
