About the Role This role is a full time 12-month parental leave contract.
Candidates must be based in Victoria for this opportunity.
The Settlements Officer is responsible for providing banking and settlement services, ensuring the secure custody of securities holdings, and maintaining appropriate banking arrangements.
This position is central to the day-to-day operations of the banking and settlements team, as it serves as one of the first points of receipt for transactions from the Front Office.
Review and forward settlement confirmations to clients.
Work across Domestic, APAC and European markets.
Process, authorise and reconcile all transactions.
Create and send payments – AUD and FX.
Process daily cash sweep and cash movements.
Account reconciliation.
Assist in process improvement recommendations and implementation.
Technical Skills Qualifications 3+ years' experience in a similar position.
Understanding of Treasury and Financial Markets.
Understanding of financial instruments including derivatives.
Attention to detail.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
