JOB DESCRIPTION
n We are looking for a Field Service Engineer, based in Sydney Australia with the key mission to work on product and solution innovation.
n He/she will be in charge of:
n ➢Installing (mechanical, cabling), configuration and start-up (commissioning) of Datalogic equipment at customer site as per pre-defined specifications with the highest quality standards
n ➢Perform preventive maintenance on Datalogic equipment within the quoted timeline
n ➢Adjust and/or replace onsite Datalogic devices of existing customer systems
n ➢Train customer's on how their Datalogic equipment functions and how to fix/replace a device when it has failed
n ➢Follow rigorously safety and security onsite company procedures
n ➢Support remotely (phone, remote dial-in) the customer with product configuration or problem solving
n ➢Escalate to upper technical level problems that can’t be solved independently
n ➢Issue timely and accurate service reports (including expenses report)
n ➢Assist with technical assessment of customer applications and requirement in pre-sales and technical support in post-sales situations, for Datalogic’s products.
n ➢Work closely with the sales team, be sensitive to sales situations, and able to quickly analyze a technical problem through customer’s sample evaluations, recommend and implement a solution to meet the customers’ requirements.
n ➢Other responsibilities include preparing software and hardware to demonstrate Datalogic’s products/system capabilities during trade shows, preparing and conducting technical seminar presentation, and supporting beta customers.
n ➢Provide front-line technical support. Interface and coordinate with global technical support group to meet customers’ satisfaction.
n ➢This position would requires regional traveling, any candidate should be willing to travel at short notice.

REQUIREMENTS
n EDUCATION (SCHOOL/SPECIALIZATION): Diploma or BS in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent real world experience.
n LANGUAGES: English
n EXPERIENCES: A minimum of 5 years of experience on Transportation and Logistics products and application software is required.
n SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
n oUnderstand ID products and able to make demos
n oUnderstanding of the PC and industrial networking environment
n OTHER INFORMATION & SPECIFIC SKILLS
n • Good working attitude of devoting to team goal, and to helping customer to solve their problem in a timely and satisfactory manner.
n • Strong mechanical aptitude
n • Positive communication, presentation, problem analytical and solving skills. Can-do and go getter attitude is a must.
n •Fluent in spoken and written English
n •Travel requirements: Approximately 30%
