n Be Recruitment is seeking experienced Family Preservation Case Workers to join a newly established program with a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in Western Sydney.
n This is an opportunity to help shape a new service from the outset while delivering culturally safe, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal children, young people and families.
n We are open to hearing from you if you are interested in full-time and part-time positions
This is an Aboriginal Identified position. Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

About the role: n




nWorking as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide culturally responsive, strengths-based and trauma-informed case management. Your work will support children and young people to remain safely with their families wherever possible.n
Your responsibilities will include: n
n

n
- Delivering intensive family preservation case management
n
- Completing family assessments, risk assessments and safety planning
n
- Developing family-led case plans and reviewing progress
n
- Undertaking home visits and providing community-based support
n
- Working collaboratively with Family Support Workers and external stakeholders
n
- Building trusted relationships with Aboriginal children, families and communities
n
- Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case notes and documentation
n

About you n
nYou will bring:n
n

n
- Casework experience in family preservation, child protection, intensive family support or a related service
n
- A sound understanding of trauma-informed practice, child protection and family-centred support
n
- Solid communication, engagement and relationship-building skills
n
- The ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal children, families and communities
n
- A Diploma of Community Services or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience
n
