We believe our people are our greatest strength. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Educator and Practice Support Nurse to join our team based in Norwest, supporting our participants in Accommodation and Community Services.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Clinical Educator and Practice Support Nurse to oversee the clinical practice across Interaction’s Accommodation and Community Services portfolio, ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and high-intensity support requirements.
This role ensures Support Workers develop and maintain competency in medication management, epilepsy management and other clinical support requirements, while also supporting participants with complex health needs and NDIS High Intensity Daily Personal Activities. It contributes to safe, person centred service delivery through clinical assessment, training, competency assessments, clinical governance and continuous quality improvement.
Working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, Allied Health professionals and healthcare providers, this role ensures clinical practices align with NDIS practice standards, organisational policies and best practice care principles.
To be successful you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum 5 years post-registration clinical experience.
- Experience supporting people with disability and complex health needs.
- Experience delivering clinical education, competency assessments and workforce development programs.
- Sound knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and High Intensity Daily Personal Activities.
- Experience in medication management and clinical governance.
- Experience supporting complex clinical needs including epilepsy, wound care, catheter care and enteral feeding.
- Solid coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A current Driver Licence.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- A current National Police Check.
- A current Working With Children Check.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent adult education qualification.
- Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
- Experience developing clinical policies, procedures and practice frameworks.
- Experience within disability, community health or aged care sectors.
- Qualifications in clinical education, leadership or quality management.
