Senior Python Engineer (AI & Asset Management Technology) - October Start!

Our client is partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation within their Asset Management division seeking 2 x Python Engineers to join a high-performing team.n
Key Responsibilities n

n
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python and FastAPI.
n
- Build and integrate AI and LLM-powered capabilities into enterprise applications.
n
- Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
n
- Work with SQL databases and ensure robust data management practices.
n
- Develop and support cloud-native, containerised applications.
n
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and end users.
n
- Drive solutions from concept and design through to production support.
n

n
Essential Requirements n

n
- Strong backend engineering experience using Python, ideally with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
n




- Demonstrated experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production applications.
n
- Hands-on experience working with Agentic AI frameworks, patterns, and tooling.
n
- Deep understanding of AI best practices, including the strengths, limitations and practical considerations of generative AI solutions.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
n
- Proven ability to own systems end-to-end, from solution design through deployment and ongoing support.
n

n Highly Regarded n

n
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
n
- CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions or equivalent tooling.
n
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot, Claude, or other AI-assisted development tools.
n
- Experience with React, TypeScript, or other contemporary UI frameworks.
n
- Financial services, investment management, or asset management domain experience.
n
