NATEC Australia is seeking a motivated and technically capable Automation & Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, develop, test, commission and support automation solutions for world-class food processing equipment, working with customers across Australia and internationally.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will play a key role in delivering automation and control solutions throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and development through to installation, commissioning and ongoing customer support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing industrial control systems for automated food processing machinery
- Programming and modifying PLC, HMI, SCADA and motion control systems
- Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Performing commissioning activities at customer sites
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, control and automation issues
- Providing technical support, upgrades and optimisation solutions for existing equipment
- Collaborating with customers, project teams, suppliers and service teams to ensure successful project delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related discipline
- Experience designing, programming and commissioning industrial automation and control systems
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and motion control platforms
- Proven experience conducting FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills across industrial machinery and control systems
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and engineering documentation
- A strong understanding of machinery safety, electrical standards and WHS requirements
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
