Our esteemed Federal Govt. client is seeking experienced Senior Security Systems Engineers – NV2 Cleared for a long term contract role!

n

As the Systems Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert required to provide advice, design, implement, and remediate security controls across a suite of technologies for multiple external Australian Government entities, ranging across a number of systems.

n

You will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

n

n
- Work across multiple external Australian Government entities to deliver advice and implement security controls, enhancing the security posture of systems from Official to Top Secret.
n
- Develop documentation for security engineering and administrative tasks (e.g. SOPs, Request for Change, design documentation, as-built-as-configured, etc.).
n
- Facilitate and participate in workshops focused on security engineering design and remediation activities.
n
- Develop and test prototype security configurations to inform the development of advice and guidance.
n
- Implement security controls in accordance with Information Security Manual (ISM),



Essential Eight, or other industry cyber security standards.

Skills and experience:

n

n
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer. Demonstrating experience, providing advice, designing, implementing, and remediating one or more of the following: • Microsoft Active Directory • Networking, Gateway or Software-Defined Networking • Cross Domain Solutions and/or Diodes • Sentinel or Splunk • Enterprise Linux, Unix, or Similar environments, such as RHEL • Cloud environments, such as SaaS, PaaS, or laaS on Azure, AWS, GPC, or similar • Complex Windows Enterprise Environments.

- Ability to work independently and effectively in hybrid or remote teams.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation, reports, presentations, and senior executive briefings.
