We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Manager to join our Wacol site and play a key leadership role in delivering safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing outcomes.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a large production team through frontline leaders, driving performance across safety, quality, service, cost and efficiency. This is a highly visible role where you'll spend time on the factory floor, developing people, embedding lean manufacturing disciplines and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Lead and champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety and regulatory requirements.
n
- Drive operational performance across key measures including safety, quality, service, cost, yield and throughput.
n
- Lead day-to-day operations to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality production outcomes.
n
- Coach, develop and empower frontline leaders to build capability and create high-performing teams.
n
- Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Continuous Improvement teams to resolve issues and improve performance.
n
- Champion lean manufacturing principles and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
n
- Optimise labour,



materials and equipment utilisation to maximise productivity and operational efficiency.
n
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, QA and site standards, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
n
- Monitor and analyse production performance, using data and KPIs to drive decision-making and accountability.
n
- Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative culture focused on engagement, performance and growth.

About You nn
- Significant leadership experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a high-volume production environment.
n
- Proven ability to lead and develop large teams through frontline leaders.
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems, WHS requirements and manufacturing compliance standards.
n
- Experience driving lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
n
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance safety, quality, service and cost outcomes.
n
- A resilient, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced operational environments.
