About the role
n
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our Emergency Department. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.

Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing
n
We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses who thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment and are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes across the patient journey and continuum of care
n
- Demonstrating strong clinical expertise in the assessment, management and treatment of emergency presentations
n
- Implementing quality and risk management strategies within daily practice
n
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary emergency team to deliver high-quality care
n
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to support ongoing professional development
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in your application, you will have:
n
n
- A minimum of 12 months documented post-graduate experience working in an Emergency Department setting
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
- Strong communication, clinical judgement and time management skills
n
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights and weekends
n
n
