The Opportunity n
Our client is a highly respected international engineering organisation operating within the defence and marine sectors. With an established reputation for delivering high-integrity engineered solutions into mission-critical applications, the business is entering an exciting phase of international growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of this growth, we are seeking an experienced APAC General Manager to lead operations across Australia and Taiwan while driving the next stage of regional expansion.
n
This is a rare prospect to take ownership of an established business whilst developing new capabilities, strengthening regional partnerships and delivering long-term strategic growth across one of the world's fastest-growing defence markets.
The Role n
Reporting directly to the President of the Marine Division, you will have overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the APAC business.
n
You'll provide strategic leadership across multiple locations whilst ensuring operational excellence, financial performance and continued business growth.
n
Key responsibilities include:

- Full P&L; responsibility for the APAC region.
n
- Leading operations across Australia and Taiwan.
n
- Developing and executing the regional growth strategy.
n
- Building sovereign manufacturing capability.
n
- Delivering multi-year localisation programmes.
n
- Developing regional supply chains and strategic partnerships.
n
- Supporting major defence and marine programmes.
n
- Driving operational excellence across manufacturing, engineering and service functions.
n
- Ensuring compliance with quality, export control and regulatory standards.
n
- Building, developing and leading high-performing regional teams.
n
About You n
We're looking for an accomplished senior leader with a proven background in engineering, manufacturing or defence.
n
You will have experience leading complex operations whilst delivering commercial growth across multiple sites or international regions.
n
You'll likely bring experience in:
n
n
- General Management or Managing Director leadership.
n
- P&L; ownership.
n
- Engineering or manufacturing operations.
n
- Defence, marine, aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
n
- Strategic business growth.
n
- Operational transformation.
n
- International leadership.
n
- Supply chain development.

- Stakeholder engagement at executive level.

- Building high-performing teams.

Experience working with defence programmes, sovereign capability initiatives or localisation strategies would be highly advantageous.
