Accountant

We are a growing, close-knit accounting firm based in Willoughby and Newport, seeking an enthusiastic Accountant with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join our team. Being a smaller firm means you get to deal directly with the client or partner rather than working through three layers of management. No waiting years for the work to get interesting.

About the Role

You will be involved in a range of accounting and taxation work, including:

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals

- Business activity statements and other compliance work

- Bookkeeping review, reconciliations, and year-end adjustments

- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work

- Working with a diverse range of small and medium-sized businesses

- Developing solid relationships with clients and working directly with senior accountants and partners

About You To be successful, you will have:





- A minimum of 2 years' experience in public practice accounting
- A relevant accounting or business degree

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

- Good communication and client relationship skills
- A genuine interest in developing your career in accounting and taxation

- Experience with accounting software Xero
