The Client Our client is an internationally-operating logistics organisation based in Melbourne's inner city. With several different operating entities across various sectors, this is a diverse and high-performing business with expectation of continued growth over the coming years.

Due to an internal promotion in the team they are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join the team as a Supervisor/Team lead.

They have a strong, well-tenured offshore function which is responsible for much of the day to day execution, so this role will ideally suit someone experienced with execution who is looking to take a more active role in stakeholder management, new vendor setup and driving efficiencies.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will:

- Oversee the execution of payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Lead any exceptions or urgent payments, validating with relevant stakeholders and ensuring that things are coded and recorded correctly.
- Manage current vendor set up,



supplier relationships and key external stakeholders with clear and timely communication.
- Assist occasionally with the Accounting team, validating payment coding and potentially reviewing accurate Journal postings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to uplift capability, efficiency and accuracy of the team.

The Ideal Candidate To be successful in this position you should have:

- Several years' hands-on experience executing high-volume Payables.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Experience within a multi-currency environment is strongly preferred but non-essential.
- Ability to communicate with Accounting professionals to understand the implication of Payables for the Balance Sheet or Month-end Close requirements.
