Population Health Division is responsible for addressing primary and secondary disease prevention within the local community through Health Promotion, HIV and Related Programs Multicultural Health. Our work is delivered through individual service delivery. Population health promotes programs and initiates capacity building to members of priority populations on priority issues.

Are you an organised and proactive administration professional who enjoys supporting diverse communities and making a meaningful contribution behind the scenes? We are seeking an Administration Officer to provide comprehensive administrative, corporate and secretarial support to the Multicultural Health and Priority Populations team.

Working collaboratively with management, project teams and stakeholders, the Administration Officer plays a key role in supporting the timely and efficient delivery of the team’s core business and functions. This position provides high-quality administrative support while contributing to initiatives that improve access, inclusion and health outcomes for multicultural and priority populations.

What you will bring to the role

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in office management procedures and experience in a range of clerical duties, including preparing draft meeting agendas and minutes.

- Proficient in LHD programs including Microsoft Office Suite, Content Manager, SHIP, iProcurement/Oracle, Health Roster, etc.

- Demonstrated experience in collecting and collating data for reports and other documentation with a high level of accuracy.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including skilled phone manner.

- Demonstrated skills in setting up, maintaining and, where necessary, improving office systems and procedures.

- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to manage a number of tasks with competing deadlines.

- Valid unrestricted driver’s license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
