Are you an experienced Psychologist, Mental Health Social Worker, Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse? Join an industry-leading provider in youth mental health and provide high-level clinical services to young people in your local community! Exciting prospect for an Allied Health Clinician to join our headspace services in Bankstown!

The position available is

- Closed-term Part-time until 30 June 2027

- Negotiable hours to suit your availability! Working a minimum of 2 days (15.2 hours) per week and up to 4 days (30.4 hours) per week

- Working days from Monday to Thursday

- Based in Bankstown

- Attractive remuneration package starting from $111,900 p.a. (pro-rata & commensurate with experience) + 12% Super + Salary Packaging!

About the Opportunity The headspace Allied Health Clinician provides high-level clinical services to young people and families accessing the service. You will provide evidence-based assessment to inform individual formulation and care plans. You will work collaboratively with young people and their families to develop individual recovery plans that are person centred and committed to achieving individual therapeutic goals.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

- Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with the Medicare Better Access best-practice standards.

- Deliver culturally safe, socially inclusive, and developmentally appropriate focused psychological interventions (individual and group) with young people and their families/carers.

- Participate in clinical decisions about assessments, treatment planning, and risk management, working collaboratively with the team.

- Report on individual progress with young people during case discussions/ team meetings.

Selection Criteria

1. Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience delivering mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions and;
- Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist with current full AHPRA registration, or;





- Occupational Therapist with current full AHPRA registration, and who have completed additional mental health specific training and hold mental health accreditation with OTA, or;

- Social Worker with an approved Social Work Qualification (Bachelor/Master of Social Work) and have completed additional mental health specific training, and eligible for mental health endorsement with AASW, or;

- Division 1 Mental Health Nurse with completed additional training or relevant experience within mental health e.g. post graduate qualification in mental health nursing.

- Demonstrated ability to undertake assessments, provide evidence-based counselling and therapeutic interventions, produce assessment reports and clinical documentation, and assist young people to access appropriate services.

- Eligibility to register with Medicate Australia as an Allied Health Professional provider.

- Sound knowledge of recovery focused and family inclusive practice, as well as understanding the needs of young people from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to effective engage with them and their family/carers.
